Anodized billet aluminum extension brackets (shown below) with distinct mounting configurations permit compatibility with all fuel tank variations. To retain the different OEM fuel level sensors, an extension mount (shown above) is provided for the later models that have deeper fuel tanks.\u003cstrong\u003e\u003c\/strong\u003e\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003ch4\u003eFUEL PRESSURE REGULATOR\u003c\/h4\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eWhen installing the pump hanger into a 89-97 MX-5, the OEM fuel pressure regulator is retained. This is mounted on the fuel rail and has no direct correlation with the fuel pump hanger.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eWhen installing the pump hanger into a 99-05 MX-5, the OEM fuel pressure regulator will be removed from the system. An aftermarket FPR is required for these vehicles.
